TENNESSEE VALLEY KENNEL CLUB
BOARD MINUTES

December 15, 2009

The board meeting was called to order by President Walter Sommerfelt @ 6pm in the Sequoyah Room at University Vet School.  Members of board present: Nan Anderson, Deborah Bailey, Keith Bailey, Karen Clausing, Phyllis Fortune, Steve Merritt, Walter Sommerfelt and Paula Smiddy.  Absent: Eddie Dulaney and Barbara Price.   

Minutes read from November 17, 2009.  Board meeting and approved as read by all board members.  

Walter Sommerfelt  met with Oak Ridge Kennel Club for discussion of the Fall Cluster. 

  • Both clubs are merging together for the Fall Cluster for the 2010 shows.

  • There is a lot of work to be done in a short period of time to be on schedule for Nov. 3-7, 2010 cluster.

  • We will have to all work together and have open minds for this to work.

  • Walter Sommerfelt will serve as Cluster Chairman

  • Each club will have 3 members for the show committee.

  • TVKC show committee volunteers are Nan Anderson, Catherine Bell and Carol Sommerfelt.

  • Specialty clubs will be on a year to year contract as of now.

  • Motion made by Paula Smiddy to keep current charge for entries of specialties clubs as previous (2009) year of $3.00 per entry for 2010 cluster.  Seconded and approved.

Next board meeting will be January 12, 2010 at Keith Baileys home.  Motion to adjourn made by Phyllis Fortune at 6:35 pm seconded and approved, meeting was adjourned.
