The club directed her to vote for Carmen Battaglia, Patricia Haynes and Patty Strand. In addition Karen will attend the Dog shows rules committee. A topic being considered is age of finishing a championship. Barbara Williams questioned the co-ownership of males and the registry of their offspring, so both owners need to sign?
Visitors:
Susan Hargrove, Bichon Frise

Audit Committee: no report
Performance committee: Larry Stogner reported that the March agility trial did not fill. Larry also mentioned the possibility of adding a Friday class for excellent only at the 2003 fall agility trial. Saturday and Sunday would remain the same. Ace Russell is checking out the details of this. Larry said the performance committee is recommending a $1.00 increase in the first entry of each dog to cover additional costs incurred if we go with a random draw.
Larry said that the July obedience trial is "on track" for July 5,6. He is to contact Jean Dinkins for the necessary insurance certification. Larry Stogner moved the club award $50 for High in Trial and $50 for High Combined each day of the obedience trial. Motion carried.
Cluster committee: Tom Schmidt announced the entry fee would go up for the fall 2003 show. Entries will go up to $22 for the first entry. If AKC recording fees go up this will need to be reflected in the entry fees. Chattanooga has not voted whether or not to participate in 2004. It has been suggested that the TVKC has the dates Saturday and Sunday and Chattanooga has the dates Thursday and Friday. All monies, work, costs etc. to be split down the middle. This is to allow for a smooth transition for the TVKC should the cluster disband and the TVKC go with back-to-back in 2004.
There will be no hook-ups at the cluster in 2003.
Motor home places will have to be reserved.
Water will be metered and sold.
Judges' committee: Garry Clausing reported there would be 10% fewer judges hired this year.
Public Education Coordinator Pat Hartman requested the AKC information be placed on the TVKC website.
Tom Schmidt announced that Jan Schmidt and Barbara Parson's whippet received an Award of Merit at Westminster.
Meeting adjourned at 8:22 PM
