How did you become interested in our sport? Our breeder invited us to come to a dog show to pick up a puppy she thought we might be interested in. We'd never been, and thought it might be fun. Everyone was so friendly, and we held dogs for people going into the ring. We went out to eat with folks who were showing Manchesters, and had a lot of fun. Our breeder said we could have the puppy for free if we showed him ten times, and oh btw, why don't we show our other puppy too since we were going to be doing it anyway? Three weeks later we did our first show in Gray TN - our second show was the Manchester nationals held that year in Hampton VA. We were hooked by then!
Tell us about your most memorable moment in our sport? Our boy Sammy (shown by Rick) won a group two in Knoxville. He was truly a special dog and a sheer joy to show.
What is it that attracted you to the TVKC? Knowledge and friendliness!!!
What do you like most about being a member of TVKC? I learn something at every meeting, both from the speakers and from the other members. It is a warm, friendly group united by the love of dogs.
Do you think TVKC meets your needs as a member? yes
How do your dogs impact your life? Every day - they are company, entertainment, and get us out!!
